Accessibility

Our commitment

databyte.dev, LLC runs this site. We want it to work for people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. When we learn about a barrier, we fix it.

Our game has its own statement at The Space Game accessibility statement.

What helps today

• The pages declare their language and use real headings, so a screen reader can move through them.
• The animated "databyte" wordmark has a text name that screen readers announce. Screen readers skip the decorative tiles.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, the wordmark and the tiles are drawn once and stay still.
• You can reach every link with the keyboard. Links show a clear outline when they have keyboard focus.
• Text has strong contrast against the background.
• The contact form has visible labels. It names the field that needs a fix, and screen readers announce its progress and errors. It opens in a dialog that Escape closes, and focus returns to the Contact link.

Known limitations

• The two "Unannounced" tiles show a moving pattern that does not stop. The site has no button to pause it. To stop it, turn on your device's reduced-motion setting.
• The wordmark briefly flickers before it settles, and it reacts when your pointer moves over it.
• The contact form needs JavaScript and a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check. Sometimes Turnstile shows a challenge that you must complete.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, tell us through the contact form. Tell us the page, what went wrong, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 business days.
